Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a atriums & amphitheaters?

These are the room-specific questions we settle during survey and design.

How do you control echo in an atrium or amphitheater?

Open, reflective spaces need controlled loudspeaker direction and careful timing. We aim sound at occupied areas instead of exciting glass, stone and high ceilings, then use delay zones so listeners hear one coherent source. DSP can reduce problems but cannot remove a long architectural reverberation by itself; acoustic treatment may still be part of the recommendation.

Will displays remain visible in a daylit atrium?

Visibility depends on measured ambient light, viewing angle and the distance to the audience. High-brightness direct-view displays often suit sunlit spaces better than projection, but glare and direct sun can defeat a bright panel too. We survey the space at the time of day it is used and position screens around real sightlines rather than an empty architectural elevation.

How are cameras positioned for tiered or irregular seating?

A single front camera rarely covers an irregular venue well. We use a wide safety view plus one or more PTZ cameras for presenters and audience interaction, placing them where heads, railings and structural columns do not block the shot. Presets let an operator recall useful angles consistently without hunting during an event.

Can the system support performances as well as presentations?

Yes, but the input count, microphone choices and operator controls differ from a speech-only system. We define modes for presentations, panel discussions, performances and background audio, with safe level limits and routing for each. That keeps an everyday event simple while still giving a technician the flexibility needed for a larger production.
